This documentary explores the deep relationship that the residents of Cape Verde have with the Pico do Fogo volcano. Through the personal experiences and stories of its residents, it shows how, despite the adversities and volcanic eruptions—the most recent one in 2014—residents feel a love for their home. Instead of seeing the volcano as a destructive force of nature, they consider it a father or, as some call it, their great friend.
